The POW City Kinsmen are planning a trip to Camp Tamarack for this weekend to continue working on the new wash house for the campers. This project started last fall with trenching and laying pipe in the trenches for drains and such. Following those steps, the cement pad was poured in the fall as well. This spring, there have been two dedicated work trips to the camp, the first trip saw us build and erect the walls and trusses. The second trip saw roofing done as well as preparatory work for insulation. The electrical panel was mounted and electricity brought into the building.
This weekend, we will be working on insulating and putting poly up for vapour barrier. We will also be working on preparing the old resource center for removal.
All work and no play, make for tired grumpy Kinsmen, so some good times have been had around the fire pit in the evenings and fellowship has grown for the members who have come out.
